App: WrapYourCar for Android (net.strelkov.wrapyourcar)
WrapYourCar is a free augmented reality (AR) app for previewing vinyl wraps on 3D car models. It is developed by an independent developer ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your data.
Summary
- We do not collect, store, sell or share any personal data.
- The app has no user accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking.
- Camera images are processed on your device only and are never saved or sent anywhere by the app.
Camera
The app asks for camera permission so it can show AR (a virtual car placed in your room) and the experimental "Scan a real car" mode. Camera frames are processed in real time on your device to detect surfaces and to separate a car from its background. The app does not take photos or record video, does not save camera images, and does not upload them to us or to anyone else.
You can refuse or remove camera permission at any time in your device settings. Studio mode works without the camera.
Data stored on your device
The app saves a few interface preferences (for example, the state of the wrap picker) locally on your device. This information is not personal, never leaves your device, and is deleted when you uninstall the app.
Third-party services
The app uses the following Google components, which are installed and run through Google Play services:
- Google Play Services for AR (ARCore): this application runs on Google Play Services for AR (ARCore), which is provided by Google and governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
- ML Kit subject segmentation: used on-device in the experimental scan mode. Google may collect limited technical data about how ML Kit performs, as described in the ML Kit terms and the Google Privacy Policy.
Google Play itself may also collect information when you download and update apps; this is covered by Google's own privacy policy, not this one.
Children
The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children.
Free app, no warranty
WrapYourCar is provided free of charge, for entertainment and visualization purposes only. Colours, finishes, sizes and fit shown in the app are approximate and may differ from real vinyl films and real vehicles. Do not rely on the app for purchasing, installation or any professional decisions.

Safety when using AR
AR apps show virtual objects over the real world and can distract you. Always stay aware of your surroundings, watch for obstacles, traffic, stairs and other people, and never use the app while driving, cycling or walking in traffic. Do not enter roads or private property to scan a car. You are solely responsible for how and where you use the app.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this address with a new effective date.
